fall aromatics

Love Fall. Think that I finally awaken after 8 or so months of semi-hibernation. And I have fond memories of stews, braises and other slow cooked dishes for the past few falls of experimentations.

Last night was a aromatic lamb stew with lentils, courtesy of Nigella. Cinnamon, ginger; She gets going with the aromatics. Lots different than Italian Mario or French Bourdain stews and a nice change.

Made the accompany couscous by flavoring the water with cinnamon, clove and a little red pepper flakes. (albeit a bit salty, it worked well with the lamb stew)

yummy.

Next lamb stew (since we have the meat) will probably be the Moraccan lamb stew that we made last year about this time. It rocks. So does Nigella's stew. (she's hot too!)
