Pork and Ginger stuff puff pastries
The pork was leftover from previous dinner of grilled pork. Cut into strips. Mixed with a bechamel (with an added touch of chopped ginger) folded up in puff pastries and baked in the oven for about 20 minutes. turned out well.
Made a side of carmelized pear halves. nice sweet touch to the savory pork puffs.
Leftovers were not nearly as good but pretty nice right out of the oven.

Pork chop with Ginger apple sauce
Tried the sauce twice. 1st time was too much garlic and ginger and the beer added a slightly bitter taste that just wasn't right with the apples.
Second time, simplified; Butter, little garlic, little ginger and white wine, then cream. I stole the apples from the first mixup and added them along with a little flour to thicken.
Dang that's good!
Chops were only oiled with chili oil and grilled.
sauce was a nice accompaniment to a perfectly grilled pork chop.

Mussel Soup with Avocado, Tomato and Dill
This recipe was gleaned from a Tapas cookbook at the local bookstore. Easy mussel soup (with beer instead of wine) . Add the dill marinated avocados and tomatoes when you serve. Nice combo.
